B&B Cerro Castillo was inaugurated in the 2017-2018 season, it has 4 comfortable double or matrimonial rooms with private bathrooms and a privileged view of Cerro Castillo and Río Ibáñez.

We also have 2 cabins, inaugurated in the 2019-2020 season, equipped for 2 people.

Our service includes breakfast, Wi-Fi, private parking for our guests.

B&B and Cabins Cerro Castillo is located in the town of Villa Cerro Castillo, Aysén Region, Chilean Patagonia, only 72 kms. from Balmaceda Airport, gateway to the region (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes) and 96 km. from the city of Coyhaique (1.5 hrs approx.). This is the ideal solution for those who have to take a flight or continue their journey along the Carretera Austral.

Our B&B and Cabins is also an excellent option for the more adventurous who want to explore the area. There are many outdoor activities, including trekking in Cerro Castillo National Park, guided horseback riding, rock and ice climbing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, nature photography, among others.

Villa Cerro Castillo and its surroundings is a natural and cultural paradise. There are various activities to suit all tastes, among which we highlight:

Trekking Cerro Castillo
National Park

If you enjoy nature and hiking, you cannot miss the Trekking to Laguna Duff, which is entered through the Access Estero Parada of the Cerro Castillo National Park. The trail can be done in a full day hike or camping in the Neozelandés or Porteadores sectors.

HORSEBACK RIDING
IN THE SURROUNDINGS

In Villa Cerro Castillo there are several operators that offer guided horseback riding. Some of them combine horseback riding and trekking to the Cerro Castillo Lagoon, others make horseback rides around Villa Cerro Castillo and in some cases they can finish the tour with a well-deserved roasted lamb “al palo”.

CLIMBING

Villa Cerro Castillo has been transformed into a hotspot of rock climbing worldwide, having more than 200 routes distributed in different points around the Villa, some of them with spectacular views of the Castillo Mountain Range and the Ibañez River Valley.

FLY
FISHING

In the surroundings of Villa Cerro Castillo there are several rivers, lakes and lagoons with very good salmon fishing such as rainbow trout, fareo, Chinook salmon, among others. To access most of these places it is advisable to hire a Guide. Remember that you must have your fishing permit up to date and respect the dates of capture.

“School Museum” and
Hands Wall

A cultural stop that you can not miss. This museum receives its name because it was the first boarding school of Villa Cerro Castillo. In the School-Museum (Museo Escuela) you will find the history of the Villa and its first settlers and after a 15-20 minute walk you can visit the Paredón de las Manos (Hands Wall) of the ancient inhabitants of Tehuelches.

Las Ardillas – Río Ibáñez
Circuit

It is a wonderful scenic route that connects the towns of Puerto Ibáñez and Villa Cerro Castillo. It is a gravel road and zigzags through forests of lenga, coigüe and ñire, crossing rivers, bordering lakes and lagoons, reaching spectacular viewpoints of the Cordillera Castillo and Salto del Río Ibáñez. Recommended route for 4WD vehicles.

Winter
Sports

The vicinity of Villa Cerro Castillo is a paradise for winter sports such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, among others. Places like “La Bombacha” in the portezuelo, is one of the favorites of our guests since it is located only 15 minutes from our Lodge!

Its diverse geography presents lakes, rivers, mountains, pampas; The colors of the landscape vary dramatically in each season and you could also find wildlife such as huemules, foxes, condors and if you’re lucky, a puma!
